Trong Cave and Trinh Nu Cave

 Trong cave (Male cave) and Trinh Nu cave (Virgin cave) are not only known as the symbol of undying love but also are places which have beautiful landscapes and many stalactites archaeological relics that  appeared thousands of years ago.

 

Local folklore tells us that there was a man and woman in love with each other. The boy is a fisherman, wants to marry a girl as a wife but both are too poor. Therefore, he decided to go offshore fishing to get married. While he went to the sea, at home the girl was forced to marry someone else.

  The girl immediately fled to the sea, sailing to find her lover. During the stormy night, the girl's boat washed into a cave. The boy also came to the cave opposite her but the stormy sea made them unable to get close to each other despite hearing each other's voices and drums. After a few days, the two died in despair.
  
 

  It is not only the beauty of memorable love, Trong cave and Trinh Nu cave that also impresses visitors at home and abroad. In the two caves, there are many stalactites and beautiful scenery. Trong Cave has two interconnecting doors located on the two cliffs, each cluster of silvery stalactites hanging down the door of the cave creates a beautiful scenery. Inside the cave is a very high stalactite column that looks like a man looking out to the sea.

  

  In the Trinh Nu cave, there was a horizontal rock like a long hair girl who was looking out to sea. The fishermen said that on heavy rainy and windy nights, when they passed the Drum cave, they could hear the sound of the wind hitting the cliff sounding like a drum. For many locals, these two caves represent love and a place of vows for many couples.

Outside the cave, the green vegetation covered from the cliff top to the foot of the cave. Channel between two quiet, clear and picturesque caves. Looking out from the cave, visitors can see the scenery of Ha Long Bay in the distance and the quiet atmosphere makes the soul relax. Because of such beautiful scenery, the Trong Cave and the Trinh Nu Cave have become famous in Ha Long tourism.

 

  There are many ways for visitors to visit the Cave and the Trinh Nu Cave, including a way to go on a yacht. Because these two caves are located in the very beautiful cave system of Bo Hon island.
